In this class, your child will be taught how to play the ukulele, while singing songs and playing games to teach music and listening. They will all listen to each other as an ensemble and write original songs. Over the years, students in our classes, be they beginners or advanced, are engaged in the act of self-expression and songwriting, and this is often as fun (for some, if not more fun) than playing their instruments! For the younger students, they can draw, write, and/or have a teacher write lyrics for them. Each student finds joy in expressing their unique, wise, creative, fanciful, and hilarious ideas by themselves or with a friend. The ability to read helps but is not required. Recommended age 5 and up. An ukulele and snack are required.
