City Strings: The Play Process

School Year Enrichments / Academia Ana Marie Sandoval -
Spring 2026

Get ready to squish, shape, and explore the wonderful world of clay! In this hands-on class, students will dive into the magic of clay while creating one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by their imagination. Using Colorado clay, children will learn a variety of hand-building techniques as they experiment with form, texture, and tools. Students may choose to follow their own creative ideas or take part in guided projects led by the teacher—there’s room for both independence and support. Along the way, they’ll learn how to connect each part they form, build strong sculptures, and express their unique style. After firing, students will have the option to paint their finished creations, bringing their artwork fully to life.
