ELCSports is Denver Public Schools' elementary athletics program providing 4th and 5th graders an opportunity to play Basketball for their school this Winter/Spring 2026. With a focus on development, ELCSports prepares students for Middle School athletics in a community-based environment. Teams will practice at their own schools and play other elementary schools in a region-based league. Adjusted Fee Rate: Schools with an FRL rate of 75% and higher will qualify for the ELCSports adjusted rate of $35 to help reduce financial barriers Registration Process: Basketball registration opens HERE on 1/12/26 at 6am and closes 1/21/26 at Noon - Only participating schools will be shown available in registration. Once registration closes, schools that have met the minimum number but not exceeded the maximum number, will be notified of team placement and payment will be charged at that time. If a school has exceeded the maximum number of students registered per team, ELCSports Admin will collaborate with School leaders to complete a student selection process. Families will be notified of those results by 1/26/26. Payment Plan Process: Whether you pay in full or choose a payment plan, payment will not be charged until your student has been officially placed on a team by ELCSports. This will occur between 1/21/26 - 1/23/26. The first payment charged will be $8.75 at time of approval. The payment schedule will continue to charge $8.75 on 2/1, 3/1, and 4/1 to be paid by the 9th of that month. Please make sure your payment method is valid. Questions or Concerns? Enrichment programs are a fantastic way for students to explore their interests and develop new skills through focused, single-subject activities. Offered by trusted DPS Community Partners, these programs provide exciting elective options at over 32 schools across the District. Enrichment activities run during the first hour after school, seamlessly complementing Discovery Link programming. Students can participate in both Enrichment and Discovery Link on the same day by registering for both programs! If your student qualifies for Free and/or Reduced Lunch and are interested in Enrichment programs please complete the scholarship interest form. Do NOT register for a program you have submitted the interest form for. Scholarship Interest Form linked here. Scholarship form closes the week prior to registration closing. Please note if a program does not meet the minimum number of students as stated by the community partner offering the program, the class will be canceled. **Enrichment offerings are not a DPS program, activity or service.
