Students build confidence, strengthen critical thinking, and make new friends while exploring the game of chess. Designed for beginner to intermediate players, each session combines hands on instruction in strategy and tactics with exciting game play. Each week features a guided project, such as building moving things, crafting with natural materials, or inventing simple games. Kids are also free to explore their own ideas, working independently or with peers. With a focus on process over perfection, the club helps students gain confidence, develop fine motor skills, and learn how to care for tools and materials responsibly. Reflection and sharing at the end of sessions allow kids to celebrate successes, troubleshoot challenges, and learn from each other. BEAUTY & THE BEASTWould you be able to find beauty....in a Beast? Belle meets the Beast, an intimidating monster. She goes missing and the townsfolk are in a panic to find her. They are led by the conceited and hilarious Gaston and his dim-witted sidekick, Le Fou. Follow this magical journey of friendship as Belle realizes that what truly matters is the beauty you possess inside. This hilarious adaptation has fantastic roles for boys and girls! KidStage classes meet for 1.5 hours every Thursday after school. Auditions for the show will take place during the second week of class, and every registered student is guaranteed a role in the production. To ensure you receive all important class updates—including the cast list and script—please double-check that you provide a current email address during registration. Once casting is finalized, we will email the cast list along with a digital copy of the script to all families.Families are responsible for printing the script for students to bring to each class. Students must also commit to learning their lines and cues outside of class time. A prop and suggested costume list will be emailed; nearly everything needed can typically be found using items you already have at home. TOT is a basketball handling program designed for Denver's youngest athletes! Join for the first time or continue on. This phenomenal training curriculum teaches basketball handling and dribbling skills to fun, age-appropriate music. However, fundamental basketball handling skills are only the tip of the iceberg with TOT. Through TOT, students are exposed to fine and gross motor skill activities, academic concepts, higher-order thinking skills, and team-building activities.
